Wow what a creepy bizarre short film.
Thats pretty awesome still for 115 years old.

Thats pretty awesome has to be the oldest film ive seen on the blog I could only imagine peoples reactions back then.

Allright partially watched this gotta finish it off. Oh i seen this as a kid but its been since that long. Im impressed to see Richard Lewis, and Dave Chapelle. Movie starts off at the end of the crusades, Robin Hood captured, Oh yea Isaac Hayes is in this pretty old school. Im almost at the end of the Mel Brooks films. I got another one to watch its, “Top Secret” Looks like the early hotshots, starring Val Kilmer, just looks ridiculous completely my style. Anyways the Robin hood movie so far its funny not much else to say. I like Robin Hood the story, disney and classic, and parody. What strikes me is these neat scenes with lots of people and action. They dont make movies like that anymore. Not with the whole village on set.

Meeting little john and crossing the missisipi, thats a funny scene. Just completely ridiculous. Everyone knows little jon. Straight up comedy. Catch more flys with honey than rudeness. Love the cast in this. So funny, and jovial. Chappelle slapping hands. White man cant jump wow tthats a throwback to the 90s lmao. That movie was so popular back in the day. .. Club for horses thats hilarious. Nice costumes and sets. Gotta love the disney robin hood. Robin hood is awesome hero of the people robs from the rich and gives to the poor. Richard lewis plays a good king. Every scene is just so comical its not doubt this is a classic. Movie just makes me happy. Id love to see a Bravehart spoof william wallace done in this fashion thatd be great. Exit sign ahahah. Thats classic. Voice impressions of Churchill ahaha. Is that Malcom X now wow. Looks right at the camera 52 min. Hehe that witch and the sheriff is just the funniest romance. Lol Mel brooks comes out riding a wagon ahaha. Ah sweet its Dom Delouise, hes such a good actor, here hes portraying the godfather. Nothing is off limits in this 90s spoof. Its an amazing cast. Patrick stewart in this. Dom Delouise fave character in this so far, besides the Robin hood. Lol just a savage character lol. Outstanding. hahaha the Clap on lights thats so 90s. Love seeing horses in movies. Aslong as they werent hurt. Dangerous profession for the horses. Something you dont see too often anymore. Musical number thats nice lol. Some comedic relief. This movie is the absolute best. Robin is suave lol. Theres a good laugh every 2 mins or less ahaha funnier than funny.

Tim allen hoots in the archery contest thats good pop culture. 4th wall reading the script in the film, i love it. Now the crowd and the Atlanta braves chop thats hilarious. Im loving it. Patriot missile arrow wow. Its buddy from space ball the princess dad. I love the sheriff and the Maid Marien interactions the Sheriff is the perfect villain hes so cheezy and maid mairien is so funny. Great characters, hes the perfect creep villain and shes hilarious. ultimate star is Robin hood, dave Chappele and the King. then the sheriff, blind guy and witch. This movie is just simply the shit, its pretty much a perfect movie. Perfect action, comedy slapstick, romance, fantasy. The dude with a bagel on set very simpsons esque. Just mocks showbiz a bit. Life savers, omg thats a riot. The witch is a great character. Oh yes Mel Brooks. Mel Brooks is just the epitomy of hilarious. Omg Patrick Stewart what a wonderful ending. Im so happy to see him in this. Its a good surprise. i never thought id see a scene with Patrick Stewart and Richard Lewis thats gold. Its a line from a previous movie. Gotta love Mel Brooks some of the bets movies ever made. Aw and he gets the girl. Shout out to Blazing Saddles this movie almost as good as blazzing saddles. Fantastic.
Fuckin love this movie, that was 10/10 I wish they still made movies like this. Mel Brooks is a legend. Did such a tribute to an old story. Its hilarious but equally awesome. Epic 90s fest. Just great cast hilarious acting, good crowd and fight sequences. Good cameos, good jokes. Good music. Thats probably one of the best comedies ever reviewed on the blog. I bet everyonbe that was in this film or worked on it is just super pleased with the results. Good special effects, and limited. I freaking love this movie. Well done. ! Bravo. I only wish there was more, im sad its done.

Movie came to my attention after learning about ‘Marjorie White’ Canadian actress, Womans haters club ‘stooges first episode was her last performance. Died in a car crash. Pretty sad actually. Gotta watch this one for Marjorie! Well she was young beautiful, from Winnipeg. This movie , a 30’s sci fi take on the 80’s the future. Thats why i had to see it . Ill get back to Mel Brooks shortly.

Eh theres Marjorie , the world in suspense. Lol she drags him to the tv screen. Suddenly they appear. Lol The girls get all giddy. Lol shes falsely accuses the dude in court of having her baby, A-6 its a delay. She gets a good monologue. Sorry K6. U2 lol. Our heroes arrive to the appeal. Lol, Marjorie is the best a natural star. K watched some more Life stinks its ok., funny role to play no make up no support just be poor. Neat concept. Just finished off the “Just Imagine” that was a good flick.
Early 90s grime. Pretty much found the shot that he took its on Wall street and 5th street east looking west. wow rough part of town theres still bunch of vagrants on the google eart. Right outside the LA garage and homeless shelter. Can pretty much get the exact shot.the beer sign is gone. The rosslyn loft and rosslyn hotel looking pretty run down these days lol. Thats a shame looks classical and retro. Build in 1914 -1923 ish. The annex. And heres Mel Brooks just a goofy looking guy to behin with with a destroyed suit. That was Amazing Tyler O’Neill Home run to take the lead in this Atlanta game. Winner takes the series. Regular scrooge story i bet he wakes up from this and all lets be nice to poor. LOL lkiquor on the stew thats hilarious. Lol anotehr mel brooks motley crew. That spanish speaking actor he looks familiar i swear is that Papi from seinfeld ? Poppie, Rene Santoni. Brooksfilm thats like Lucasfilm in a way. Made some Mistakes about the burbanks scenes. This was all pretty much LA, Culver. Teddy Wilson, Lesley Ann Warren Rudy De Luca that was good. 22% on Rotten Tomatoes thats hilarious, was much better than that. This guy gave it 0/5 and didnt even write anything like cmon. 91 From someone that thinks will smith is a fine actor lol. meh thats why i dont read reviews without fist seeing the film. Not sure how you can review a movie in one sentence but sure.

If you know the 90s when it was all about being exteme and gross, well some of it came from the 80s. Where it was rock and not give a fuck attitude. So yeh i find the aesthetic, it used to be cringe, but now im drawn to it. Someone like that was born in the 2000s i cant expect liking it.

Ok so Spaceballs i always made the comparison to, oh you wanna watch star wars so i never would settle for the weird al yankovich of michale jackson,but reall its incomparable.
You got Rick Moranis and John Candy its really a throw back to the good ol days. I guess in silent movie was same kinda thing except more 70s.
The jokes are on pint the women are 80s sexy, the special effects are pretty good. I just gotta say seeing John Candy on film again brings such a heart warming feeling back to the ol Clay. He was in Cool runnings. Home alone. Thankyou John Candy for your contributions to my nostlagia and entertainment. I never knew how much youd be missed, and at the same time very gratefull for what you did for my life. John Candy just the happy go lucky guy. Neverwould you see him upset or raise a fist at anyone, rather be a disarming type and make you smile instantly. Yeh i dunno im not sure how much i can write about space balls. i made some connections last nigth though to some epic movie tracks. First the dink march, was really colonel bogey march.

Shout out to Sony one of my favourite labels, this shits old but classic.
Oh yea and earlier to this was the desert march shout out to Lawrence of Arabia, i really got a kick outta that as an adult. So i see the Lawrence of Arabia as a kid, and it really left an impression on me. Just as a generally awesome movie. Just adventure, passion, emotional, military, duty etc. Its just a classic film. So its nice for Mel to take us back to the finer details of film wed never know myself liek im sorry i wasnt born in the 30s.

Ok well spaceballs, they represent the gluttunous corporation types. First you see Michael Winslow, Id recognize him anywhere, i can just describe him as the beatboxer from police academy, but he was so much more he was a comedian, and a original beatboxer, so thats dope. And, Rick Moranis really kills it, as helmut, just the most nerdy villian. Everything in is just so stupid. This movie was kinda ruined for me by excessive cable tv play back in the day, but really im glad it was burnt into my brain cause as an adult its so damned funny. Yeh my favorite is the space ship jokes, like the bumper sticker, we bake for no one. The president and hist lustrous affairs, oh yea, omg those twins are pretty 80s sexy. Thats a bit odd for me to mention but i guess i dont really care. Theyd be older women forsure but dressed up on the big creeen and seeing em now, theyre like some retro playboy centerfolds. Cause you aint gonna see that hairstyle nowadays, or if you did people be making double looks and laughing so no self respecting woman gonna go through that. Ok costumes, great effort on costumes, set, more painted visual backgrounds as per history of the world. This movie also breaks the 4th wall to the extreme, they even open up a VHS of themselves.
Pizza the hut is nasty, the Shwarzt is some jewish over kill comedy. Um Yogurt, is some extreme face painting, i think ou can tell mel brooks on in knees to looks like a short person. The princess bitchy but thats what makies her special, barf is just lovable, its got a heavy metal aesthetic, some rock and grungy. I dunno its an aesthetic that is frowned upon these days, although it used to be super cool. Its like breakfast club to the extreme. Yeh i dunno special effects are hollywood top notch, although its a film tha doenst take itself seriously at all. But thats what makes it so unique . Anyways its funny who would dare to make fun of the legendary star wars, lol. well as a comment who needed to after episdoe 1-3, id be embarrassed if i was in that. Just like the growth period of special effects green screen, it looks so much better back in the day. Like yea i like some nice special effects, id say like godzilla the neon one, fuck that was some sick special effects, that movie kept on giving. But i like the winnebago cruising thru space and the tron effects. Its much better than some mediocre cgi from nowadays. Its like remember Greedo you could see the foam from his suit. Yep the droid dot matricx and barf even. Its just nasty looking costumes, and facepaint but it seems to be irreplicatable now. Sure just for comparison sake, you got the predator invisble effect, but thats just exploiding a photoshop technique whilst mel brook dressed as yogurt is a disgusting amount of cheap facepaint, it even looks bad, hes chewing some nasty green shit. yeh breaking down the 4th wall its such a silly thing but it makes for a really smart movie in a way, cause its not something you see everyday, also adds an amount of stupidity or sillyness you cant recover from but its done nicely in the mel brooks films, just makes you laugh out loud cause youre in shock basically. Alright well i got mut much else to say, im pleasantly surprised i liked revisiting this more than i thought. I always was like meh spaceballs, now im like yeh! spaceballs!

Daphne Zuniga, the princess vespa, nice resume of fims, melrose place, just a wide list of films. Attractive. Sitcoms music videos, cartoons etc.

Only watched this cause a couple friends worked on it. It was a cheezy low budet film that i think was doen really well, it was almost like reveneant, except Revenant was on crack extreme compared to this. I enejoyed the hunting and dark scenes, i enjoyed the female lead. I enjoyed the Alberta panoramas, and I enjoyed the tenson in this movie, had me cheering on. Itr was full of clichees and special effects. Although i doubt i could do any better. Ive heard like 85% good reviews. The bear scene and predator was probably my least favorite. Seeing Teepees and full on regelia for hunting and that was actually believable. i enjoyed that. They represented Alberta well forsure. Yeh its a neat concept, sci-fi in the fur trader days. Couple of my favorite things. Yeh im proud of what they did even though i cant call that movie my favorite was defiantly worth the time to watch it. Some throwbacks to the mud scene from original predator. I liked the female lead especially, good actress attractive and tough. Good at her job. Too bad didnt get a theatre release. But i defienlty enjoy the Alberta movies. You know Unforgiven that is no joke. Revenant unforgiven and Prey.

Holy crap these movies are so epic, i cant get enough. These have been the biggest blessings to my life to watch these as and adult.
Ok first time seeing this film. This movie is super raunchy, borderline offensive. In other words more Mel Brooks film par for the course.
I think in particular this one was extra raunchy, beautiful women portrayed in this. Boy am i happy to see all the familiar stars from the mel brooks films in this. Dom DeLouise was extra greasy in the Emperor portrayal. I guess lets go thru the scenes. The Cavemen scenes. Ever since there was Artist theres been critic. Aint that the truth. That was a brilliant line. I found the cavemen scenes ok werent the greatest part of the film. Um it was a good intro to the film though, showing how primitive and monkey like humans are. Just reminds me a little of some Carl Sagan, monkey orgy and ‘seeking pleasure’ for lack of a ‘less offensive’ description. I read, shadows of ancient ancestors, that book changed my life. Well anyways it was pretty funny still, the 3000 Bc depictions and grubby cave men. What a wild time to be alive. When fire and search and gather techniques, Its really science that with the agriculture came the animal husbandry leading to more philosophy in a sense what im doing rigth now. Im somewhat educated, seek knowledge. Need a mix of both though really. I apprecate my farmer friends, and a mix of the academics too. The farming helps you stay grounded. The academics shows the wonders of the world. Even mixing the two, with farming technologies is pretty cool, there just some things that robotics and technology can never do. Such as the arts or philosophies in a sense.Yeh art might be questionable with the new Dall-E mini thats pretty cool but you aint seeing no AI making a mel brooks film with controversy comedy and pop culture. Yeh shout out to the dinosaur scene and the creation of music, those were some good light jokes. Ok Next scene, old testament and biblical roman times. The 15 commandments : the 10 commandments that was funnjy. It really takes another religion to mock christianity in a funny ass way. I know thats a little taboo but its true, im not a religious fanatic by any means but i can appreciate a good Jesus joke here and there lol. Yeh im willing to bet the Roman scenes were the most expensive and longest to produce. I really gotta say, this film employed some of the best painting visual effects ive seen in some times. You know star trek was pretty good at that, but this film really used it well. Ok right away i recognized Gregory Hines, from another movie i reviewed on the blog.

It was running scared that kinda introduced me to Gregory Hines. Have i mentioned I love tap dancing and Water Ballet lol . I cant believe i just wrote that lol.
So anyways i was happy to see him there. The empress looked familiar, the Dom delouise was awesome, Mel Brooks is a great directoir and a great actor, it was fun to watch him lead in all the scenes.
The ending of the the roman and biblical times was the besty, between the horse race and new jobs to the last supper, wow i was liek wow theyre actually gonna do this scene, there was atleast 3 epic jokes in that scene. Just how Jesus is like an exclamation so it was a heavy chuckle play on words, the mel brooks is like all one bill or seperate, thats just so simple and funny, and finally the group portrait rates and everyone get on one side of the table. So they left on a high note. Um ok the Spanish Inquisition came next, that was just like a broadway dance scene with a water ballet, i couldnt believe it. It was good natured and also slightly silly, talking about a religious cleasing, thasts just showcasing i guiess what became of the Roman empire in a way, ill have to do more research. i know the new world was going on and gednocide for gold and new world riches. So even taking a negative subject matter and flipping into something no one expected, i can tell you that no one wqas expecting to see water ballet there with the nuns, that just so freaking comical its like what am i watching lol. Its just hilarious, nice set too. They dont make movies like that anymore dance number and tons of people on set i love it. OK what came next the french revolution, ok this one was super raunchy, borderline some softcore porn. Oh its definelty RATED R. Which is fine, i could imagine my mom being disgusted, or mildly amuse by it. The grandparents would probably be revolted lol, Actually nah my mom would be revolted im sure too. It has a bit of a trashy feel this movie. Its something i enjoy but prolly isnt for everyone. Yeh French revolution, It had some tones of rich vs poor actually the whole film did, but this one especially, and lots of raunchiness very sexualized and lots of cleavage and naughty things. Oh yea i forgot to mention Mr playboy made a cameo, discussing the ‘centerfold’ and yeh Funky town playing on a boombox, that was nice. Yeh i think thats all i gotta say about this movie, it was good, it was dancy raunchy, funny, good acting, shocking controversial, Kept the attention going. Its like a parody of itself, movies in general. If youre a movie buff youll get alot outta it like i am, just cause its so ridiculous. Yeh in the final scene mirical the horse comes to save em. Thats a good ending, Gregory Hines such a gem onscreen i cant help but smile. His smile is contagious. Yeh so overall great cats great / amazing sets, great scenes, its like a roman, epic, or a era scene piece done like 4x. Added in the dancing buts and couple heaping spoonfulls of ridiculousness. You got yourself a great movie lol.

I gotta say Mel Brooks makes some of the best movies ive ever seen.
From the black and white to the silent film slap stick, i wondered how he was gonna do it, but the delivery was perfect. Each film is its own creation wild an unique.
Gotta love the second chance studios, the greedy corporate shills, the star search, the character fall down, the loyal friends, the final chase and climax, the ending. Everything was fantastic, not so much stereotypes but epic clichees. i think its great he acted as himself in this. I love the side kicks, Marty Feldman, was hilarious, just a funny smiling face drooling over the honeys. Always doing something light mannered peverted lol. You couldnt do that nowadays but sexyness and courting was certainly different back then. Its back then for me the movie is 46 years old. I love seeing the Hollywood back in the day. Its an homage to the golden age. That corporate washroom shirt scene reminded me of some Stooges gags. Some more original jokes though, like the running through the park turning into a race, that was so random and funny lol. Oh yea got carried away; Dom Delouise hes so funny, i loved him in the twelve chairs, but this was over the top. Marty was the comedic relief partially, dom was the gags, rigth away hes liek pull over i need a blueberry pie. Always thinking with his stomach, but super loyal to Mel Funn. And, Marty always distracted by the girls, MelFunn had the drinking vice, although the him drinking scene was so comedic and light hearted everything really worked out, not like actual alcoholism which is so grime and nasty, this was a ‘broadway’ alcoholism. sid Ceasar never heard of hm he was a good chief for the film studio, the bad guys were good too. The first few jokes were a little strannge then the movie really got rolling.
I liek the delivery for the newspaper stands, was a repeating scene letting the audience know what was going on. Then Burt Reynolds and the tall guy suit, the steam roller and the shower scene was so funny and unexpected. I was impressed to see the famous A-list actor agreeing to be in the movie I guess just as himself. It was fun, he plays his famous self with massive ego and always checkin himself out in the mirror. Its a whole generation away. The stars of yesteryear. James Caan, that was a funny scene too with the trailer balancing. Oh yea Burt Reynolds i dont even know him except for old shows with him and the car and the hair, I couldnt even name a show or movie if i wanted to. Hes more commercials famous. Ill google after. James Caan I recocgnized just after Burt. Burt is arguably more recognizable than James Caan, but you see his trailer and name and yea i recognize James, for more serious movies wow lots of movies, Elf, Misery!! wow forgot about that one. No way Bridge too far wow that takes me back lol. Godfather, eraser, Dick Tracey, wow thats a impressive list. Those are just some of the films i recognize right away. Mickey Blue eyes, Sadly died last month Rest in Power, thanks for the good movies, really enjoyed that Mel Brooks one. I guess thats what life is gonna be watching all your childhood and stars or yesteryear slowly disapear. Heart problems at 82. Definetly a star. I didnt even hear that n the news so im just sorta discovering that now. Liza MNinneli, that knight in armor scene was hilarious. Just a simple thing like sitting down could be so funny, with the salad in the hair. The last star, wasnt sure who that was. Anne Bancroft. Never heard of her. Then after the chief in hospital, they call up the french mime scene, im not sure im familiar with him neither but that was pretty funny. French have a certain type of joke that can be done i guess completely different than English like Uk, its no doubt easy material to imitate like in Monty Python, but they make fun of themselves too so its quite hilarious.
What else could i possibly, say. Oh Yea Paul Newman, salad dressing thats the only reason i know of him, but apperently a race car action movie guy. Just faces you know cause no dialogue really. ANd, how can i forget the score to that movie, it was incredible, a little random, lots of good drumming silly drumming gongs, slide whistles, late 70s sound effects. Foley effects, dog fight. I was really wondering how are they gonna do this. Anyways really enjoyed that watched it all in one sitting. Dont wanna leave out Mels Girlfriend dancing was great and fun. Anne Bancroft dancing scene was also epic. Just overboard fancy hollywood with the cigarette sticks. the possee of young men, the Mexican clacker dance. Yeh all in all really well done. I freaking loved that actually. And a homage to the kings of slapstick. I wonder if the stooges woulda liked that, obviously. Its really amazing how you can stretch out the good parts, and essentially take away the sound and still make a coherant good movie really a good achievement. Although im sure the studios were like nah way.

Anne is a senator in that.. ANother movie with Dom Delouise Fatso, he musta been typecast with a title like that. No way she was in Antz, as the Queen ant lol. lol the shit i learn. Thats like all i recognize, but Some of these look good, treasure of Golden Condor ’53 Retless Breed Gorilla at large lol.
Pal Newman, in Carz, butch cassidy sundance kid, dont know much about him but I buy his salad dressing for years. Interesting, navy service and philantropist, racing, looks like a intersting dude. Such a strange role for him then with the broken leg wheelchair and asking to be in the movie with Mel Funn. Nice.
Bernadette peters, with steve martin films annie, musicals, The Jerk i actually seen that when i was a kid, strange. Ok so i guess i kinda know her a bit (from movies) Just didnt know. Liza Minnelli im sorry or ashamed i dont know too much about her. music star right, she seemed funny and nice in the dinner. She looks a little strange in later years, unique face with wide eyes, i mean recognizable. Toured with Frank sinatra wow. Yeh Music albums,. broadway impressive resume. Yeh i guess i just dont know all the stars from the 70s lol. Ill check it out, nothing like pop culture from 40+ years ago.

Took me a little while to finish the movie, I think 3 days just busy with school.
Fucking annoyed about something else too.
Just wanted to put a marker down for that i completed it.
Once again Gene Wilder out does himself what a great actor.
The movie was great, little long but very progressive.
Fave scenes, are the tap dance scene and the bride of frankenstein.
ill write more once im not so irritated, but i can say these Mel Brooks films are really bringing me alot of joy as a respite from school.

I was watching some making of” behind the scenes, and yeh apperently Columbia didnt want it. So as a fan of the Columbia im a little disapointed, missed a good chance. That only a couple negative things from Columbia so far, the Cypress hill , and this movie. I guess thats really a thing, studio not wanting to take a chance on the black and white or silly movies, i know the sentiment, justw wanna go with a tried and true formula, something popular in the day, but its clear you really get teh classics when the studio takes a chance. Also im sure equal amounts can backfire. Stupidity vs creativity. Just like being provacative for no other reason than to be contraversial is a stupid idea. Although if the subject matter is , and the director has experience. Yeh i duno, at the same time you can be provacative stupid and still have a theme that isnt just shock comedy, like the Skycorp its really like off the wall but i think its done well.
